I do not assume that every sexual problem has the same cause. A sexual difficulty may involve body, mind, relationship, lifestyle and medical factors. My role is to understand how these factors interact in your situation.
My professional journey began in Psychiatry in 1989. This has shaped the way I approach sexual problems — by looking at the individual as a whole person rather than concentrating only on the symptom.
Over the years, my clinical work has focused on sexual health, sexual dysfunction and intimate relationships. My background in Psychiatry, combined with specialised training and experience in Sexual Medicine, allows me to consider both psychological and physical factors.
A treatment that helps one person may not be appropriate for another. I believe in individualised assessment, which may include medical evaluation, medication, psychological approaches, behavioural strategies, couple-based work or specialist referral.
Sexual health requires honest communication. My psychiatric background helps me listen carefully and allows you to discuss subjects that may otherwise be difficult to express. If it affects your life, it is important enough to talk about.
Sexual difficulties often affect both partners. Where appropriate, I can help individuals and couples understand the problem together, including differences in desire, intimacy, communication and sexual expectations.
From starting my medical career in Sirsa in 1989 to my continuing
work in Sexual Medicine,
my journey has been built around one central principle:
